In this little cul-de-sac in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, there was a house where furniture with big legs and strong opinions lived. The Puzzle Prince.ss Chair had found refuge in this Maison after surviving her early years in the terrible MDR (Men Dominated Reality). She arrived in 2013, the same year that the European Union applied new regulations on sustainable wood harvesting. The Fried Egg Table arrived a bit later, in the most fragile state, though it remains taboo to mention it. Indeed, they always insisted on being “sunny side up” and refused to deal with anyone feeling scrambled. For years, one ritual had never left the house. Every morning at exactly 8h26, after a good night Sleepin’, all members of the Maison gathered around their large triangular table, each occupying one of its sides, to drink a generous cup of Curly Hair Coffee with a shot of olive oil. These two beverages ensured that their tint stayed vivid and their wood smooth, even through the wildest weather shifts. They're also known to make spirits more flexible and bouncy, preventing countless fights before they even began.

Beyond the porch lied the Ecotone Gone Bad, a moody piece of land that couldn’t decide wether it wanted to be grass or mud. It changed forms pretty much every day of the year, sometimes choosing to be both at once for months, until it finally settled on what it felt like being for a while. During those ritualistic gatherings, the Ecotone sometimes felt left out, and would ask "Can you leave the door open ?". This way, he could catch a glimpse of the reunion and feel a part of it, at least from a distance. Eventually, when the sun would get tired of shining over everyone and the moon was ready to make her appearance, the member of the Maison went to bed and made Dreams in a Home and Homes in their Dreams. As the walls of the house were so thin, one could even Hear the Stars falling from the sky to take a rest before the day would start again and they’d had to hide behind the clouds. And although each member of the Maison carried their own cracks, curls and catastrophes, they somehow managed to love each other sincerely, forming a beautiful and tender family of mismatched furniture that made them feel like a part of a bigger Puzzle.
